  • Fiction books including but not limited to main stream women’s fiction, adventure novels, mysteries, fantasy, westerns, espionage, romances, inspirational and current best sellers from all fiction genres.
  • Non-fiction books including, but not limited to, technical guides in agriculture, gardening, horse training etc., environmental areas, food, healthand exercise, pregnancy and parenting, biographies, history and politics.
  • Audio books, large print books, CD’s, DVD’s and VHS videos
  • Provincial telephone directories
  • Two computer/printer/scanner stations with high speed access for public use
  • Training for TRAC (ordering library books on-line from home)
  • Computer training for first time users of computers - especially senior members.

Alder Flats Public Library is a member of Yellowhead Regional Library. Alder Flats Public Library is also a member of The Regional Automation Consortium (TRAC) and of The Alberta Library (TAL). Our participation in The Alberta Library gives our patrons access to 15 million items in over 230 Alberta libraries.Residents of Alder Flats, Buck Lake and area within the Count of Wetaskiwin may acquire a library card provided that proper identification is shown.
AT THIS TIME, there is no charge to acquire a library card.
Your library card is The Alberta Library (TRAC) card. This means that, as a member of Alder Flats Public Library, you may borrow and return books at most Alberta Libraries.
